The G-Buffer Framework

چکیده
The geometric buffer (G-buffer) is a well-known approach to implement imagebased rendering algorithms. We propose a framework that maps the G-buffer concept and associated image-space operations to the graphics processing unit (GPU). This GPU-G-buffer (G-buffer) framework consists of two major components: first, a texture-based representation of the G-buffer attributes; second, an implementation of the image-space operations by fragment programs. The G-buffer setup and the actual rendering algorithm are described in a plain text file, whose syntax is an extended version of the Effect Files in DirectX or CgFX. Our approach provides a fast and easy method to implement G-buffer algorithms that automatically exploit the GPU with its high memory bandwidth and processing power. We demonstrate the usage of the G-buffer for a couple of applications in non-photorealistic rendering.

Lidocaine Alkalinization with Borate Buffer: Evaluation of Onset and Duration Time of Analgesia in Peripheral Nerve Block in Rat
Objective: Evaluation of onset and duration of peripheral nerve blockage with alkalinized lidocaine by borate buffer instead of sodium bicarbonate. Study design: Experimental randomized cross-over study. Animals: Forty male Sprague-Dawley rats (body weight 200–300 g) were used in this study. Methods: Four 1.0% lidocaine solutions were prepared from commercially available solutions. The treat...
متن کاملInvestigating the Assets Quality in Banking System in Iran with Emphasis on Liquidity and Non-Performing Loans Reserve Buffers
In this research, the factors affecting assets quality in banking system of Iran and some implications for creating appropriate buffers of liquidity and non-performing loans in bank assets management has been investigated. In order to that, statistical data related to macroeconomic variables and financial statements of 30 banks from 2006 to 2016 have been used in the framework of a dynamic pane...
متن کاملHeavy Traffic Limits for Some Queueing Networks
Using a slight modification of the framework in Bramson [7] and Williams [52], we prove heavy traffic limit theorems for six families of multiclass queueing networks. The first three families are single station systems operating under first-in first-out (FIFO), generalized headof-the-line proportional processor sharing (GHLPPS) and static buffer priority (SBP) service disciplines. The next two ...
متن کاملExPBB: A framework to explore the performance of Burst Buffer
ShaheenII supercomputer provides 268 Burst Buffer nodes based on Cray DataWarp technology. Thus, there is an extra layer between the compute nodes and the parallel filesystem by using SSDs. However, this technology is new, and many scientists try to understand and gain the maximum performance. We present an auto-tuning I/O framework called Explore the Performance of Burst Buffer. The purpose of...
متن کاملEnd-to-end Proportional Loss Differentiation
Service differentiation is at the core of designing next-generation Internet. In this paper, we present a buffer management framework for achieving end-to-end proportional loss differentiation in networks. There are two main facets of our buffer management framework. First, it decouples the decisions of when to drop a packet from which packet to drop. This allows the framework to utilize existi...
